A little more about me:
I've been a reader and writer for as along as I can remember. I was first published in Jughead comics when I was 12. They spelled my name wrong and I can't believe they printed my address! I also received a $6.00 check. Super exciting! I wrote plays, poems, and stories when I was younger. After I graduated from High School, I became a freelance photographer and my creativity focused on the visual world. I transitioned away from photography as a full time job and became a K-1 teacher which brought me right back to my first love: children's books and writing. I mostly write on my computer and sometimes I write on my phone but I usually begin to pre-write in a notebook because sometimes there are ideas that only become clear when I put pen to paper. I like to draw, try different ways to make art like gelli printing and stamp making, and hang out with my family, friends and my pets. |
